I like a lot of music. It, genuinely, is my passion. It has been helpful in every aspect of my life. Whenever I’m doing anything and going about my day, I’ve got my playlist full of random music to keep me company.
I felt the need to start wanting to practice my passion when I was a young lad. I’m pretty sure I was 9 years old at that time.
Then, I saw, and I thought, that a guitar would be the perfect way to bring my love for music to life. It was my father’s guitar that caught my attention.
At first, of course, I didn’t know anything about the technical aspect of playing the instrument, much less its fundamentals, yet the feeling of making sound through just hitting strings was enough to keep me interested.
Luckily, I have my father beside me. He taught me the basic chords to at least create a semblance of music on the guitar.
I have a passion for music
It’s definitely not easy at first. Even learning the basics was hard for me since I was still a kid with tiny fingers that time. But when I was able to play actual music with my guitar, it was pretty satisfying.
Now, not only was I listening to my favorite songs, I could also play them. I experienced self-fulfillment even at that age.
This blew my mind, to my satisfaction indeed. While listening to music calmed and helped me relax or let out emotion, playing and producing the sounds I had in my head equally led to the same and more. It gave me a sense of purpose.
While I have friends and try to go out to hang out with them, I mostly stay home due to my introverted nature. I like having a relaxing atmosphere; and being in my room all day with my playlists full of music and my guitar gives me what I need to relax.
How music changed my life?
At the outset, I would like to point out that, while music has been a part of my life, it guided me how to change my perspective.
While it took me years, after learning the basics before advancing to next level skill, to create my own style of music patterned yet unique in structure, it was still, on my part, one of my best achievements in life to date since I am still a young lass.
I bet for myself that it was a life-changing experience when I have already learned how to produce my own music through the instrument that I fondly play. This one of my best friends—my guitar.
Why is music my passion?
Music is my passion simply because I love music; I love all the different ways people around the world are able to tell stories through the soundscapes they’re able to create, whether it be pummeling and aggressive or smooth and lush; and most importantly, I love creating music to share.
Aside from soothing my mind and relaxing my soul or making me want to dance around in my room or even scream into the void, it can bring out the best in me.
Being my passion, it means I am indulged in it. Not only for my personal consumption, but also for my love of sharing the different sounds I’m able to produce.
Thus, having the ability to create my own, I want to spread my work for my audience to see value in my creation.
Whether they will like it or not, it will be a matter one’s choice. What is important, I believe, is the reason behind the music, which is my desire to do what I like to do.
How to describe a passion for music?
The feeling of being passionate is a stimulant. It drives you to do something out of our own initiative.
When you are passionate, you are driven. You do not procrastinate. The latter is incongruent with passion.
Hence, you are fervent with something. In my case, music drives me. But don’t get me wrong. I still study; in fact, I am not neglecting it. My interest in music compliments that.
Now, how do I describe my passion for music. Well, it is being displayed in my creation.
When I start to develop a melody of some sort in line with my taste, genre, and interests, I make it a point that, while being natural, it will be to my full satisfaction.
Being happy with it, I love to share it. And because I believe what I make is pretty good. I wish my listeners will find value in it.
How do you express your passion for music?
Aside from listening to the music of other artists that inspire me, I create my own.
This is one way expressing myself and my love for music. For me, it comes naturally.
Another aspect is sharing. As I have mentioned, I do like to share my music. I want also my audience to feel the music and my persona behind that.
This will, in a way, make them know me a little better and part of my personality.
Is listening to music a hobby?
I believe that having a hobby comes from a place of passion and wanting to learn more about something that brings happiness and satisfaction. You can have as many hobbies that you can but the question is: are you passionate in all of them?
Yes, listening to music is a hobby. It is a relaxing form of leisure time. You may want yourself to be rejuvenated just by listening to your favorite songs.
For me, I can then say that, while hobbies are more of interests, passion includes those as segments. The former are mere leisure times. Passion is intense and a next level initiative
In this case, I will have to say that it is also my hobby to play guitar, in as much as it is my desire to nurture it to a next level initiative.
Final Thoughts
Everyone has a passion in life. Mine is what I have discussed. We, humans, are great species. We are one of a kind. We can make the world laugh, happy, zealous, and sad because of our works, capabilities, and passion.
It may be good or bad, whether for ourselves or for mankind. Nonetheless, such passion within ourselves can also change our lives and outlook in life
I am sharing these thoughts of mine because I believe that every individual has his or her own capabilities to do something and share the same, for the recipient to see value in it, thus, helping them also to discover something within themselves—and that is potential.
