Lotus was me experimenting with calmer sounds and R&B – like moods. I do want to play with synthesizers and happier chord progressions along with bouncier feeling drums and percussion.
This started as an attempt to mix guitar with EDM-like beats but then turned out to be a dark and haunting song with aggressive mood basses and 808’s mixed with haunting bells and synths.
This song was inspired by Polyphia’s Nasty and how you like that by Blackpink’s production. I wanted it to have exotic melodies with a touch of an Indian influenced music while at the same time being exhilarating and hyper.
This was me trying to mix hyper pop sounds with guitar riffs to create this pummeling and nonstop aggressiveness, through industrial and metallic noises with fast guitar runs.
